Jitta Mantras

Warren Buffet’s principle, “Buy a wonderful company at a fair price,” is the most simple and successful concept to build your long-term wealth. Born from this philosophy, Jitta strives to prove that investing is actually very simple, especially if we focus our investments in good companies under reasonable prices, and for a long time period, we, too can build our wealth.

That’s been one of my mantras – focus and simplicity. Simple can be harder than complex: You have to work hard to get your thinking clean to make it simple. But it’s worth it in the end because once you get there, you can move mountains.
– Steve Jobs

I myself believe that investing is something very simple. But people tend to make things more complicated that they actually are. Especially in the stock market, where everyone is trying to find the shortcut to get rich and fast. Even though when we look at all the richest investors in the world, none of them had built their fortunes by madly trading stocks here and there. Every one of them became rich by investing in only a few firms, maybe one or two, and let their investments grow with those companies.

Another thing to consider is even though the stock prices of these companies have rose very high, these investors never really sell any of their stocks, which is the reason why they have become richer every year (unlike most in the stock market who like to sell to make incremental profits, thus, missing the opportunity to build their stability in the long-run).

Therefore, Warren Buffet’s principle,

Buy a wonderful company at a fair price
– Warren Buffett

is the most simple and successful concept to build your long-term wealth.

Born from this philosophy, Jitta strives to prove that investing is actually very simple, especially if we focus our investments in good companies under reasonable prices, and for a long time period, we, too can build our wealth.

This is why everything on Jitta is focused on simplicity. Anything complicated or redundant will be filtered out, to break down the complexities of the stock market; so that you will be able to grow your portfolio while having the time to do other things that you love as well.

As Buffet has said,

There is no use for being rich, if we have to sit in front of the computer, staring at stock prices all day.
– Warren Buffett

For the past months, I have received plenty of good advice on developing Jitta. Although, admittedly, we haven’t executed some of the changes, because our team haven’t quite figured out how to develop them in a simple way yet. Making things simple is actually pretty difficult, and requires a lot of thought. As Steve Jobs said, making things simple is quite hard.

Another reason why we haven’t made the some recommended changes is because these changes will make investing more complicated. Plus, there are many websites that perform those functions already. So Jitta will remain focused on delivering simplicity to its users.

Lastly, I believe in Einstein’s statement,

If you can’t explain it simply, you don’t understand it well enough.
– Albert Einstein

So the more Jitta is able to help people understand the simplicity of investment, the better we are. And when that day comes, we can hopefully move (financial) mountains as Jobs has said.

Jitta simplifies financial analysis for value investors and financial advisors alike. Our stock-analysis platform offers actionable advice to help them make better investment decisions and generate higher returns based on a simple principle: “Buy a wonderful company at a fair price.” And we do that by creating Jitta Ranking, our proprietary algorithm that ranks stocks based on their profit potential. Returns generated by Jitta Ranking since 2009 has outpaced that produced by the S&P500 index by a large margin. Jitta’s technology processes information like a human mind, assessing complicated data and digesting it into an easy-to-use and intuitive format. Its key features include Jitta Score, an indicator of a wonderful company; Jitta Line, an indicator of a company's fair price; financial statements-made-simple Jitta FactSheet; Jitta Playlist, an intelligent screener and backtest system in one; and Jitta Portfolio, a smarter investment-tracking mechanism.
